To take sole responsibility for 5 horses (2 are retired). Must ride well, turn out to high standard, carry out all yard duties and groom at competitions. Wide equine knowledge base and good organisation skills essential. Must be able to work on own initiative, be honest, reliable, conscientious and hard-working. Good working conditions. 6 day week.

EARN WHILE YOU LEARN AS A BCA   EQUESTRIAN APPRENTICE

If you are aged between 16 and 18 and committed to a career working with horses, then you could combine a full-time job at BCA, developing your practical skills, with training and the opportunity to gain a relevant qualification.

As a member of our very successful Equine Team, you will be supported in gaining industry specific qualifications including an NVQ2 in Horse Care, Health & Safety and a First Aid qualification. We run a busy Yard with a range of opportunities and activities across the year, providing experience and interest for our apprentices.

You will need to have relevant practical experience of working with horses for this position. Accommodation may be available on appropriate terms. We are committed to training and developing young people to give them a good start in their careers. In addition, we offer an occupational pension scheme and other benefits.
