I.10    Restrain horses
I.11    Unload horses under supervision
I.12    Assist with the on-going care of horses
I.13    Receive equines and carry out initial assessment
I.14    Load horses under supervision
I.15    Prepare grazing land for horses
I.16    Maintain horses at grass
I.17    Timekeeping
I.18    Establish and maintain effective working relationships
I.19    Identify the hazards and evaluate the risks in the workplace
I.20    Reduce the risks to health and safety in workplace
I.21    Maintain and develop personal performance
I.22    Deal with emergencies

Then choose any 4 of these options :

IO.1    Competition Experience
IO.2    Fit tack for exercise
IO.3    Lunge and long rein horses
IO.4    Ride horses on a hack and on the road
IO.5    Ride and lead quiet horses
IO.6    Assist with care of horses after strenuous exercise
IO.7    Assist with the care of horses during competitions and hunting
IO.8    Apply harnesses and hitch horses
IO.9    Drive quiet horses
IO.10  Clean and maintain vehicles and harnesses
IO.11  Maintenance of riding surfaces


In addition you can apply for an Intemediate Stud Groom workbook. To achieve this endorsement you must complete all of the following skills:

IS.1  Assist with the teasing process
IS.2  Assist with foaling
IS.3  Assist in handling mares and foals
IS.4  Assist with the preparation of breeding stock for sales
