BGA PREMIER MEMBERSHIP  -  just £59.50 per year

BGA Premier Membership includes Premium Personal Accident Insurance Cover. This is an occupational certificate and covers you when you are at work but excluding commuting. The cover is Temporary Disablement from the usual occupation, but PTD (Permanent Total Disablement) from ANY occupation.




IT COVERS YOU FOR ALL THE JOBS THAT YOU PERFORM AS A GROOM, INCLUDING:
• General yard duties including: mucking out, handling of horses, turning out and catching in from the field/walker, managing field horses, grooming, clipping and trimming. Handling and managing stallions, mares and foals.
• Travelling horses to competitions and general outings, including: loading and unloading of horses, caring for the horse during transit and care of the horse whilst at the venue.
• Riding including: schooling in arena, field and gallops, hacking, breaking in process, lunging, long reining and competing (note see exclusions below).Horse driving including: applying harness and hitching horses, exercise driving.

EXCLUSIONS INCLUDE:
• Riding in a race, point to pointing, team chasing, hunting, hunter trials, driving trials and eventing.
 

ABOUT THE BGA PREMIER MEMBERSHIP
The cost of the BGA Premier Membership is £59.50. The BGA is not making any increased income... we have simply added togther the £17.50 annual membership fee and the £42.00 SEIB Premium Insurance Cover.

Your insurance policy will become live once the BGA has fullfilled your membership - this can take up to 7 working days. Please note that if you allow your Premier Membership to lapse when your renewal is due then your insurance will no longer be valid. The BGA will contact you in plenty of time to alert you to renew your membership.

No cover shall be operative under the Premier Membership if you work in Afganistan, Chad, Congo, Iraq, Israel, West Bank and Gaze Strip, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. However if you live and work in any other country you will be covered.
 
HOW IS THIS COVER DIFFERENT FROM THE REST?
British Grooms Personal Accident cover provides Personal Accident cover whilst a groom is undertaking their commercial activities i.e. being paid. It also provides a wider cover than a recreational product as this includes dental treatment, hospital benefit and temporary total disability.
