BGA links with ESF
The British Grooms Association was delighted to be welcomed as an Affiliate Member to the Education Sports Forum (ESF) at their most recent meeting on Tuesday 17th March.
The ESF came into existence in December 2005 and its members include:
• League Managers Association
• Professional Footballers Association
• British Boxing
• National Association of Stable Staff
• Professional Rugby Players Association
• Professional Cricketers Association
• Institute of Football Managers and Administrators
• Jockeys Education and Training Scheme
ESF evolved to promote the interests of affiliate members, assessing their educational needs and delivering a professional package of education and training to support those working in the sports industry to achieve their full learning potential, both during their playing days and when they leave their respective sports.
Lucy Katan, Executive Director explained, “ We were delighted to be invited to become part of this Forum and proud that grooms and the BGA are now gaining increased recognition outside of our industry. The Forum provides us with the opportunity to link with other sporting professional bodies which will hopefully enable us to learn from their experiences and develop the BGA into a strong and effective body”.
