Nominations for The Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards 2010 open on the 4th January – 5th February 2010 and this year, anyone in racing can nominate.

The 2010 prize fund, provided by Godolphin, has generously been increased to £120,000, and owners, trainers, breeders and work colleagues can make sure that deserving staff don’t miss out. Award categories are as follows:

** David Nicholson Newcomer Award: for those who have displayed a desire to improve, have progressed their skills and knowledge and become an integral part of the team, while employed in the industry for less than five years

** High Achiever Award: for those who have displayed qualities of leadership and ambition in their work, combined with strong mentoring skills that have benefited those around them

** Rider/Groom Award: for those who have shown a talent for horsemanship, consistency and reliability, both in and out of the saddle while employed as either a Rider or Groom

** Stud Staff Award: for those who have shown high levels of skill and dedication, passion for their work and excellent horsemanship during employment at a Stud

** Dedication to Racing Award: for a long-serving member of staff, who is a key part of the team, offering  a wealth of industry experience, knowledge and a dedication to the sport

** NASS Special Merit Award: for those who have often battled difficult and extraordinary circumstances to be a part of the industry. This Award gives the opportunity for NASS members to vote for their association members

** Employee of the Year Award: the supreme award to recognise the overall winner chosen from all of the above categories, aside from the David Nicholson Newcomer Award
