BGA Member Mae Draycott from Thrapston, Northants is trying to raise £3000 for the BHS Welfare Department by taking part
in their 2010 India Challenge Ride.
Mae works as a freelance groom and has gained a good reputation with most of her work coming by word of mouth - always the sign of a good groom!
"I will be joining a group of riders in enduring a 150mile trek across
India on native Marwari horses, an endangered breed, camping overnights
and riding for up to 7hrs a day in high temperatures over varying
terrain," explained Mae.
"I aim to raise this money through sponsored events such as running the
Stanwick 10k road race on Easter Monday, holding a stall at the
Thrapston Charter Fair and any other means I can think of!"
