Register to vote
Now the General Election has been called, you might be wondering how to register to vote. It’s very easy. Go to www.aboutmyvote.co.uk, enter your postcode and you can then either fill in online or (depending on your local area) print off a form and post it to your local elections officer.
Do this as soon as possible to be registered in time – the absolute deadline for everything to be completed is 20 April. And don’t forget there are Local Elections taking place in most areas too, so you will have two votes: one for the Council, one for the MP.
