The BGA was reported in Horse and Hound this week (22nd April) to be looking for more members and greater support to enable us to grow.
Executive Director, Lucy Katan, explained further -
"The BGA has not to date received any industry funding and so relies on its membership and Equine Employers Handbook for income. We would not exist if it was not for the generous financial support we receive from our Sponsors - Merial, Spillers, Careers in Racing, Bedmax, Haddon Training, Morrish LLP and SEIB.
We do however need to grow and become stronger both in membership and finances and so need all BGA members to help us to grow by encouraging colleagues to join and we also would like the Horse Industry to consider how it can support the BGA to fulfil its very important role.
