SPILLERS®, the trusted name in horse feeds, is giving the NEXT 10 grooms who JOIN the British Grooms Association a chance to benefit from their renowned nutrition training programme, free of charge.
The generous feed manufacturer, who has sponsored the BGA since its inception last May, is awarding the ten grooms who join the BGA to bring its membership up to 500 with a Level 1 Training Manual and the chance to take the Level 1 exam.
BGA founder Lucy Katan explains: “This is a fabulous opportunity for new members to gain a valuable nutrition qualification and it ties in perfectly with the BGA’s focus on the importance of the professional status of grooms in the UK. We hope that this generous gift from SPILLERS® will be a welcome early Christmas present for our ten new members who bring us to the 500th mark.”
The Level 1 Training Manual is designed to provide a basic knowledge of equine nutrition. It is split into three sections, covering basic nutrition and feeding, quality and product training and includes open learning sections to enable readers to test their knowledge at every stage of their study. At the end of each section is a series of revision questions to help prepare for the Level 1 exam.
SPILLERS® Brand Manager Sarah Kitson said: “We have worked hard to find an innovative and practical way to provide additional support for the highly commendable BGA in its first year. Our training programme is held in high regard throughout the UK and should serve as a highly useful additional tool for working grooms. ”
