BGA attends Launch of Equine Health and Welfare Strategy
The BGA was invited by Lantra to be on their stand at the Launch of the Equine Health and Welfare Strategy.This Interactive Event was held at the Lee Valley Riding Centre based in Leyton, N.E London. Over 120 school children from Tottenham attended the event, as well as many employers and industry leaders.
This was a great opportunity to raise the awareness of the British Grooms Association and introduce some of the older children to the idea of working with horses.
Developed by the whole of the equine industry in conjunction with government and in response to the Animal Health and Welfare Strategy for Great Britain, the 10 year Vision of this Strategy is to achieve high standards of health and welfare of equines in Britain and to ensure that everyone responsible for equine health and welfare understands and fulfils their duty of care.
