The BGA proudly took its place at the recent 'Skills for Our Nation' event that was held in Victoria Tower Gardens, next to the Houses of Parliament.
The event, which was run by Lantra, gave the BGA an opportunity to represent grooms at the highest level; In attendance were MP's, David Lammy MP (The Minister for Skills) and leaders from a variety of land based industries.
Also brought along to the event were the two shire horses who work for the Royal Parks. It was great to meet their grooms, Steve and Carmine and hear all about the diversity of their job. (we will do a feature in a future issue of British Grooms magazine)
The Equine Skills CV, a project funded by Lantra, took pride of place in the exhibition and BGA member Ronnie Dawes, had a large photo of her on a presentation board!
The BGA is proud to be representing its' members at the highest level and showing the need for an active voice for grooms.
