Raceday For Schools
Ever wondered what it is like to work in the racing industry? The British Horseracing Authority has today released a free Enterprise and Business Studies teaching resource to schools across the UK. Following the launch of the racing industry’s community strategy, ‘Racing Together’, Raceday for Schools is one of the Authority’s first major projects that reaches out into the community supporting the education of young people.
The online resource is aimed at 11-16 year olds and is directly linked to Enterprise education. Raceday is an engaging interactive resource containing a wealth of activities and career advice that offers students an innovative Enterprise experience through the context of the British Horseracing Industry.
It is closely linked with careersinracing.com and the Authority’s ongoing efforts to recruit more young people into the racing industry, and its use in schools is part of ongoing initiatives to ensure that comprehensive careers information on the industry is available to school children.
