Pro Groom School is for all

The first unique Pro Groom School was on the 23rd October 2023, this offered grooms working in all disciplines, and of all levels, the chance to spend time with three experts who have multiple Olympic and World Games between them!

The one-day seminar provided the opportunity to learn about anti-doping, competing under FEI rules, travelling horses, pro-turn-out tips, and about what life as a top competition groom really is like. 

Whether you are already working at an international competition yard, or simply have the ambition to do so in the future, Pro Groom School is for you!

WHAT IS THE COST?

Groom School is only £70 for the day and includes all refreshments. 

You can also join the BGA for as little as £25.50 per year, for a Standard Membership - so sign up today, (this doesn’t include insurance).

Membership including personal accident insurance is available from £5.73 per month and just £12.09 per month if you want to include income protection cover.

The 2023 Pro Groom School comprised of number of sessions where delegates spent time with each of our supergrooms.
In addition, there was an equine massage demonstration by Sophie Sparrow PGDip vet phys, BSc, FHEA, ESMT, of Pro Performance Veterinary Physiotherapy.

Meet Our Pros

JACKIE POTTS

Jackie is one of the most well-respected grooms on the eventing circuit. She has groomed at five Olympic Games, six FEI World Equestrian Games and eight European Championships, on top of countless three-day events around the world.

JENNY ELLIS

Jenny has groomed at 3 Olympic and 1 Paralympic Games for top dressage riders and world-class showjumpers and is a recipient of the prestigious FEI Groom Award. 

ALAN DAVIES

Alan is best known for being part of the world-beating partnership of Charlotte Dujardin, Carl Hester and Valegro and has represented Team GB multiple times. Alan is passionate about inspiring future international grooms.
